About the Presentation
During this two-day presentation, you will learn what methods define blended learning, and how they can be successfully applied to your courses. Portions of this presentation will provide hands-on training using the lessons learned by leading professionals in distributed learning. About Dr. Linda Futch Dr. Linda S. Futch is an associate department head for the University of Central Florida’s Center for Distributed Learning. She has collaborated on the design of hundreds of online and blended courses, developed the Blended Learning Toolkit and team-taught BlendKit2012. Linda oversees management of the university learning management system, support for online courses and a team of 14 faculty instructional designers. She has been instrumental in guiding faculty development for online and blended courses and developing systems to support faculty and students. She has 31 years of experience developing curriculum and delivering instruction in business, secondary education, and higher education (both two year community college and university systems). For the last 14 years, Linda has worked in higher education. Linda holds an Ed.D. in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in instructional technology. For her doctoral dissertation, Linda studied blended learning at a metropolitan university. She is currently researching various aspects of blended learning including pedagogical decision process of successful blended instructors, instructional best practices, and scheduling of blended. |
